On a beautiful sunny morning sixteen business owners arrived at Blue-Ginger gallery for September’s small business breakfast (SBB) meeting.
Miles Meager started off the meeting and announcements for October were as follows.
Hypnotherapist Lynne Dance has completed an advanced level hypnotherapy course and is now going into hospitals and local hospices working with people there.
Chris Baddiley, Mathon cosmologist is back from his trip to see the eclipse of the sun in Wyoming. His U3A university of the third age Astronomy course is starting at the beginning of October at his house. Registration is at Malvern theatre or on line. The Dark Sky Survey in the UK is based on Chris’s work.
Richard Agnew from Cradley has been running Qi Gong classes at Clover Mill, from 11am for an hour on Tuesdays. A course of 4 weeks is £35. Contact Richard for future classes www.richardagnew.co.uk.
Solicitor David Kitcat reminded us he is offering to do wills this month, with the cost being donated to St Richards Hospice. St Richard’s have a large clearing warehouse at CrowCroft which is useful for dropping off things.
Miles Meager of Mi-frame picture framing told us he has a new set of Quentin Blake/ Roald Dahl prints in ready for Christmas.
Sue Lim was getting ready for Herefordshire Art Week, as well as Blue-Ginger’s annual auction of small art for Acorns, raising money for Acorns Children’s Hospice. In October and November, Blue-ginger has its Alice in Wonderland themed exhibition which includes events 21st October at 6pm The Enduring Appeal of Alice with Mark Richards, Collector and Lewis Carroll Scholar. November 4th at 6pm Illustrating Wonderland and Looking Glass, where author and prize-winning illustrator John Vernon Lord will give an illustrated talk and discussion with an introduction by Mark Richards. November 11th is the opportunity to book on a workshop with Karin from Celestine and the Hare and needlefelt a dormouse in a teacup. For bookings please visit Blue-Ginger website. There will also be a chance to add to an Alice mural in the garden, led by stained glass artist Mollie Meager.
And finally! Carl Flint writer of walking guides for the Malvern Hills, had four days of lessons and went surfing for the first time in Cornwall near St Ives. Brilliant fun!
